It was with utter amazement but also no disbelief that I listened to my friend tell of the day, that the Salvation Army came to Lisa Stone’s house and started carting away her belongings.  Her partner engineering this whole “act of charity”  Now you ask what is so weird about a charity truck coming and loading up?   Well Lisa was already missing, for two weeks and in spite of neighbors objections the workers continued to cart away belongings.  Very possibly key evidence in what happened, was taken away and forever lost to the justice system because of chain of custody issues.   The workers and their boss   had been informed that the lady that owned the stuff was not there and the person giving them the stuff was not authorized to do so.  They were informed that they could be taking evidence of a crime   The supervisor for the collections was contacted and informed that the property was not the property of the person “donating” it.  Yet, they went ahead and took the belongings.  I am encouraging everyone to NOT PUT A DIME  in those buckets for those bell ringers.  What they did was reprehensible and downright criminal, and because of their actions evidence that could help us find our Lisa or at least convict whomever did what they did….  Is now FOREVER out of our reach.  So Please think twice before you give a dime to these folks. THEY WERE MADE AWARE THAT THE ITEMS THAT WERE BEING DONATED DID NOT BELONG TO THE PERSON DONATING IT AND THEY WERE ALSO MADE AWARE THAT THESE ITEMS WERE POSSIBLE EVIDENCE IN THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE OWNER OF THESE ITEMS.  YET THEY TOOK THEM ANYWAY!!!!!!    These are not the actions of a charitable organization that I am willing to ever give another penny to.

I have heard other stories in the past of the graft and corruption that goes on in this organization, and have experienced first hand their lack of charity to my own when we were deeply in need.  But to me this just tops it off!  You realize that this means that they can pull up to your house and if someone is willing to let them, they will take your belongings without your authorization.  Even if your neighbors tell them that the person giving them authority has no authority.  They will go ahead and load up their truck anyway…. Doing the most good for who, I sure would like an answer on that one!

Happy 79th Mama!

doing your best to make me think I’m old are you?

And you and your grandson survived the visit, in fact seems to have come through with flying colors.  Well done , Son!  Everyone was still in a great mood at the end of the visit!  He was ready to come home though.  It’s not us, he is 16, his gf lives in this town, after all.  We are just the parents.   Anyway,  his  visit went without incident so I can now breathe a little easier.     Why I worry I don’t know, it’s just habitual and at times unnecessary.   And oh yeah, I’m his Mother…

But, it is good to have everyone back underneath the same roof again. We can get back to our routine around here, petting dogs, letting dogs out, letting dogs in , petting and feeding dogs and watching the dachshund try to climb the trees in the back yard.   She has made it up a few feet.  but, gravity always wins!   Whinnie showed up at our door several months ago, held in the arms of our neighbors.  They were hoping we would take her in.  The Mister told them we would keep it conditionally,  until I got home from work and he would ask me.  As if I wasn’t going to fall head over heals in love with  that sweet mug!

Now there is another personality in the house and that would be the Pomeranian.  She has always been very particular, of  whom she will tolerate of the four-legged kind.  So a NEWCOMER WAS NOT OKAY!!!!!   That tail tucked and that nose held high, she wasn’t having this ! Not in her Queendom!

It sounds diametrically opposed but, the new dog was the most laid back dog, who still has a streak of lightning in her.  Now we all know that those two figured out a way to co-exist pretty quick,( if only people could figure things out that away, sigh…)   Over the last several months we have watched the newcomer fill out and our old girl, up and running, and playing in the yard.  Her personality just a little less needy, they are both rotten to the core.  ( its my husbands fault , lol )   And of course our Whinnie and Dixie happy and content!

It’s just nice for us all to be back together again!

Looking for Lisa Stone, if you know anything let us know!

I’ve listened to my friend for the past year, tell me of her concerns for her neighbor, a lovely lady that I have only met a few times.  There are not many among us who have not made bad decisions when it comes to our hearts, and most of us are lucky to get out alive in those situations, don’t know whether she did or not right now.  This is a lesson for all of us, if we are scared tell others, get out of the bad relationship that you are uneasy with.  Life is to precious and way to short to waste on those that are not worthy of our love and concern.  They had been together for fifteen years that is a lot of years and a lot of shared history and yes it is hard to let go of that.  The older you get the harder it is to let go and start anew.  The things I have heard convince me that her partner is involved, but, until it is proven in a court of law I cannot say for sure that she is the culprit, she has not helped or participated in the search for Lisa, she didn’t even report her missing to the authorities.  What does that tell you????   I can identify with Lisa, the things her friends have said about her tell me that she was a good person, who just wanted to be loved, just like all of us do whether we admit it or not.  I went looking in the woods the other day with some friends of mine, we didn’t find anything but, someday someone will.  We ran into a person that one of my friends knew and the things he said enraged me, guess what dude not only are you not funny, you are a waste of human flesh, you better hope you never go missing I doubt anyone would bother looking for you.  Like the song says a missing person that no one missed at all.  This is not the case with our Lisa, in spite of what her partner thought of her worth,  world is looking now and just when you think we have stopped looking, you will be wrong.  Do the world a favor and turn yourself  in.  You are not an unknown anymore, if you are innocent and I doubt it, participate tell the authorities the truth about what you know.

The new haircut, the lost girlfriend, and yes it grows back and new girls come along all the time

I remember it clearly like it was yesterday I came home from work to finds not only my boyfriend had shaved his head but, he had shaved my sons as well, It was  a shock, to say the least, but, my shock didn’t even come close to my son’s then girlfriend who broke up with him on The SPOT, He. Looked.like a monster according to her, Now I know my son is a big boy,, but, a monster that’s stretching your adjectives a bit, Of course the hair grew back in and the girlfriend has been replaced a few times since that day, But, now of course everytime we go for a haircut we joke about getting monstered up. it’s funny how old pain turns into old jokes after awhile

Running with Patience

Many years ago at a thrift store I picked up a small picture that was so simple.  It has lived in my kitchen all the time I’ve had it.  It;s kind of silly looking, it’s  a dude in running shorts and a t-shirt and next to it says   ..so let us run with patience the race set before us..        Hebrews 12.1    It spoke to me then and it still holds true every day that passes.

I hear people all the time wishing that the day was over, the week was over, the year was over.  It saddens me each moment being gone, always, once past.  How would you want to wish away the time we are allotted.  As I sit here and type in my thoughts into this file,  I listen to my husband and his friend go on.  It would change this blog’s rating to include any of their content but, and I think the deserve the expectation of privacy, and, I’m not sure I’m cut out for the porn sites.. Life is good

I remember when I was pretty young my momma told me that time passed in a heartbeat that was unfathomable to me then.  Of course it didn’t take to many years to pass for time to start spinning faster and faster.  We all know, it’s a communal endeavour  and with the speed that our days pass, patience is the last thing we think about.  It’s something I hope I remember more as my days wane
